Abortion is a process of ending a pregnancy. To get an abortion, it is necessary for you to consult a doctor where certain tests will be done to confirm your pregnancy.

The bleeding may be light much like spotting towards the end of a menstrual period or heavy bleeding. In some cases, you may experience no bleeding until you take the second pill (Misoprostol).

Misoprostol, another abortion pill will be given if abortion has not occurred with mifepristone.

Misoprostol will be taken orally or inserted vaginally within 48 hours of mifepristone. It causes uterine contractions (cramps) to expel the uterine contents from the body.

Abortion Pill Facts

The abortion pills are not recommended for you if you have certain medical conditions such as heart disease, asthma, diabetes, bleeding problems or hypertension or when fitted with an intra-uterine device because of the problems associated with the abortion pill. It is ineffective in the case of ectopic pregnancy.

The World Health Organization (WHO) believes that abortion pill is an effective treatment in terminating a pregnancy. It is found that about 95 women out of every 100 has achieved abortion successfully with the intake of abortion pill in the first nine weeks of pregnancy.

Moreover, with the abortion pill, the health risk of infection is very less and maternal death is extremely low. It is relatively a cheaper, less invasive option where anesthesia is not necessary. The need of pain-killing drugs will be avoided. Also, you can successfully abort without any complication and further medical treatment.

However, with abortion pills, a continuous bleeding may occur for weeks. It is found that one out of every 300 will come across heavy bleeding with the usage of abortion pills. In some rare cases, you may develop an infection.

It is also found that abortion pill is ineffective in five women out of every 100 who take it for ending the pregnancy. Sometimes, it takes days to work.

So, you should see the doctor right away if you find heavy bleeding, infection or any complication occurring with usage of abortion pill.

    the most easily available urine test , cost 70-90 rupees and is 90-95% true , other ways can be blood test, urine test at laboratories ,

    It is a well known fact that , if u have Sex widout protection immidiate after the Girl finshs her menses,( for 5 days after da menses cycle) THE chances are 90% to get pregnant , so its better to take care within this period (5 days , immidiate after the menses cycle is over) .

    Pregnancy period is counted from the last time da girl had her mensuration .I.e the last time it had started. LTP.

    I- PILL a contraceptive pill is safe to use and is effective as well if taken within 72 hrs of unsafe sex, however it has 90-95% chances of accuracy. And that is the best alternative ,

    so a personal suggestion by me is

    USE CONDOM + CONTRACEPTIVE PILLS AS WELL.

If you get a negative result, you can try after one week again. Sometimes, due to hormonal imbalance also, you can get delayed periods. If you get a positive result, you have to consult the Gynecologist for abortion and take her advice regarding any issues. You cannot use the abortion pills on your own.

May be You had an abortion after using the mifepristone and misoprostol pills. But, it is not confirmed whether the complete fetus came out.     i had thought i was preg. at about 6 weeks and the nurse said it was too late to take the abortion pill. so, it would have to be a surgical abortion to go through. I wasn’t preg. but i wish i had known more about the abortion pill which is usually distributed free at a pharmacy.
