Being a mother is definitely one of the most beautiful phases of life, but it brings its shares of problems along. Additional duties of baby along with household chores make it very difficult for new moms to squeeze out time for exercise or indulge in any other activity to stay fit and healthy.

1. Multitasking Moves

This is one of the good exercises that can be done with your little one. For this, you need to lie down on your left side by propping the upper part of the body on your left forearm.  Keep your elbows under the shoulder and left leg on floor with right one on top of it.  Now put your weight on your left arm and lift yourself from your hips so as to get the side plank pose. Hold on for some time and then repeat with other side.

2. Baby Dancing

Dancing on your favorite song with your baby in arms will not only make your little one happy but will also help to lose some calories and will surely liven up your mood.

3. Pike Stretch

Sit with your legs stretched straight in front and make your baby lie on his back on your legs. Now try to reach towards your baby and then hold on at this position for some time. This exercise will help to stretch your back as well as hamstrings.

4. Curl-Ups

Lie down on floor with your face up and bent knees. Make your feet flat and then put your baby in reclined or a seated position above your public bone. Now hold the baby under arms and wrap your fingers around the baby’s torso. Now by contracting your abs, lift up your neck, head and shoulder and hold for few seconds. Do around 15 to 20 reps of this exercise. Similarly reverse curls can also be done by putting the baby on your shin and then bringing your knees to your chest.

5. Cobra Stretch

Lie down on your stomach and place your hips on the floor. Now try to lift up your torso by stretching the muscles of abdomen. During this exercise you can put your baby in front of you and kiss him every time when you go down.

6. Lunges

Hold your baby tightly in your arms and then take a step forward so as to bend your legs in a lunge position at 90 degrees. Keep your abs tight during this exercise.
