Summer months can be really a difficult phase of the year for your skin.  The scorching sun can leave your skin tanned, dull and even burnt whereas the moisture less air can make it patchy, dry and glow-less.  But why stop yourself stepping out in the wonderful sunshine just due to the fear of damaging your skin?  There are many ways you can take care of your skin in summers and prevent it from any kind of sun side effect. 1. Exfoliation

In summers, the body tends to shed dead skin cells at a very fast rate and due to this; a layer of dead cells develops over the skin surface, thereby causing damage and dullness. Thus, exfoliating your skin on a regular basis is a must to get glowing skin.  So for this, you can either use home- made skin scrubs like sugar and lemon juice, dried orange peel or just buy a scrub from the market.  Make sure you rub your skin gently with the scrub so as to avoid rashes or irritation. Do this 2-3 times a week and get beautiful skin.

2. Don’t forget the sunscreen lotion

In summer months, it is very essential to use sunscreen on your body, regardless of whether you plan to stay indoors or step out. Even inside the house or office, some amount of sun rays tend to enter and cause tanning. Thus to prevent this, a shield of sunscreen lotion works brilliantly and keeps the glow on your face constant.

3. Stay hydrated

In summers, the body tends to lose a lot of moisture which may lead to dullness and damage. Thus staying hydrated at all times is extremely important. Make sure you drink 8-10 glasses of water every day and also drink fresh fruit juices and other healthy drinks.  This keeps your skin soft and moisturized.

4. Cleanse your face atleast twice a day

Cleansing and moisturizing your skin is the best way to keep the dirt and dust away and avoid your skin pores being filled from particles. You must cleanse your face once during the day and also before sleeping everyday to keep it healthy and fresh.

Your kitchen is a vast sanctuary of products which can be mixed with one another to obtain some wonderful face packs. You can try some of the following natural ways to get glowing skin in summers:

  • Mix a little blended cucumber and 1 tablespoon of yoghurt and apply this pack on your face for 15 minutes. Wash it off with cold water to get fresh skin.
  • Mix honey and lemon drops and apply this mixture on your skin for 10 minutes. You can get glowing skin through this natural way instantly.
  • Mash a little papaya with 1 tsp. honey and a little egg white to get a wonderful pack which can not only bring glow on your face but keep it healthy and fresh.
