The most needed thing now to help promote breastfeeding is to allow the mother to start breastfeeding within the first hour after the baby is born, which is not usually done in many hospitals. This early feeding helps establish the bond and the habit right from the beginning. As a pediatrician, I couldn’t agree more with this article.
