There is no mention here of the most effective way of reducing the symptoms of PCOS, namely to lose weight. The associated weight gain due to PCOS exacerbates hormonal imbalances due to the effect of the fat on hormone production. By losing weight PCOS symptoms can be reduced significantly. I should know, I have PCOS, was recommended by my GP to lose weight, did so (with difficulty but got there) and now have virtually no/little symptoms.
